The Door Bells – Migrant Women’s Network

The Door Bells – Migrant Women’s Network (TDB-MWN) is a volunteer-led organisation supporting migrant women in the Shepparton Region to participate, lead, and thrive. While the Shepparton Region is proudly multicultural, migrant women have historically been underrepresented in civic forums, advisory bodies, and leadership spaces. The Door Bells exists to change that.

Vision

The representation and inclusion of migrant women in the community sphere.

Purpose

To empower migrant women to be seen, heard, represented, and connected in the community sphere.

Who We Are

The Door Bells – Migrant Women’s Network is a volunteer-led organisation supporting migrant women to step confidently into community life.

Membership has grown steadily since launch, with more than 80 migrant women part of the network by 2025, representing over 15 cultural and language backgrounds.

Our Allies

Our Structure
The Door Bells operates as a network of networks, reflecting the diversity of the Shepparton Region. Women from different migrant communities serving as bridges — sharing information, identifying needs, and encouraging participation.
